Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the qrDude mobile application ("the App") provided by Dude Logic Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using qrDude, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, or if you are under 13, that you have obtained verifiable parental consent. You also confirm that your use of the App complies with any applicable local, national, or international laws and regulations.

2. License to Use the App

Dude Logic Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use qrDude on Apple iOS devices that you own or control, solely for personal or internal business use and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App or any of its components
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or transfer the App or any rights in it to any third party
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms

3. Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for the content you encode into QR codes using the App. You agree not to use qrDude to create, share, or distribute QR codes that:

• Contain or link to illegal content of any kind
• Are intended to deceive, defraud, or harm any person
• Contain malware, phishing links, or other malicious payloads
• Violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights
• Facilitate spam, unsolicited communications, or any form of harassment
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, to the extent we are technically able to do so.

4. Intellectual Property

qrDude, the qrDude name, logo, mascot, and all related design elements, code, and content are the exclusive property of Dude Logic Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of any content you choose to encode in QR codes using the App. By using the App, you do not grant us any rights to that content.

5. QR Code Content & Third-Party Links

QR codes you create may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party destinations linked through QR codes created with the App.

When scanning QR codes using the App, you may encounter content created by others. We are not responsible for any harm that arises from scanning a QR code created outside of qrDude.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Dude Logic Labs does not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• The results obtained from use of the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

Your use of the App is entirely at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dude Logic Labs and its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of business — arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use qrDude, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dude Logic Labs and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or any content you encode, create, or distribute using the App.

9. App Store Terms

qrDude is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download and use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms will govern as they relate to the App Store relationship.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for qrDude. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Updates and Changes to the App

We may release updates to qrDude from time to time. Updates may change, add, or remove features. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version. We are not obligated to provide any specific update, feature, or level of support.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate them at any time by deleting the App from your device. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

Upon termination, the license granted to you under these Terms will end and you must delete all copies of the App from your devices.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
